Controllable catalytic antitumor properties of nanoenzymes based on smart-responsive polymers

Using the intelligent response polymer wrapped nanoenzyme (Nanozyme) based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polyacrylamide (PAA), the controlled catalysis of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in the tumor microenvironment produces highly reactive oxygen species (ROS), thus inducing tumor cell apoptosis. This nano enzyme consists of ferrite (Fe3O4) and manganese dioxide (MnO 2), with peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity, can in tumor microenvironment low pH and high GSH level, release MnO2 and Fe3O4 two nanoenzymes, catalyze H2O2 to generate ROS and eliminate ROS, so as to achieve accurate regulation of ROS level, avoid damage to normal tissue. Using nanoenzymes (Nanozyme) based on polygylated (PEG) and polycaprolactone (PLA), the controlled catalysis of glutathione (GSH) in the tumor microenvironment is realized to produce highly reactive oxygen species (ROS), thus inducing tumor cell apoptosis. This nanoenzyme, composed of ferrite (Fe3O4) and copper sulfide (CuS), has the activity of peroxidase-like and glutathione-like peroxidase. It can release CuS nanoenzyme under high GSH levels in the tumor microenvironment, catalyzing ROS to realize the precise regulation of ROS level and avoid damage to normal tissues.
